Level 4 Diploma for Associate Ambulance Practitioners Qualification
The Level 4 Diploma for Associate Ambulance Practitioners course is designed to train and assess individuals who want to become Associate Ambulance Practitioners (AAPs). It covers a wide range of skills and knowledge required to work in the Emergency & Urgent Care setting, including responding to emergency and urgent calls, assessing and managing service users at the scene, and working closely with other emergency services.
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be considered a certified Associate Ambulance Practitioners (AAP).

Course Duration:
This is a 13 week course, if you do not hold the L3 CAPCUCS qualification, 10 weeks if you do.
The Total Qualification Time (TQT) for this qualification is: 1450 hours.
Guided Learning (GL) for this qualification is: 1240 hours (this is made up of 490 hours guided
learning and 750 hours practice placement).
Qualification & Accreditation:
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be considered a certified Associate Ambulance Practitioners (AAP).
Progression:
The FAQ Level 4 Diploma for Associate Ambulance Practitioners has been specifically designed to support progression to Higher Education Professional Health Programme at university. This would allow progression to, for example:
• BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science
• BSc (Hons) Paramedic Practice
• BSc (Hons) Adult Nursing
• BSc (Hons) Mental Health Nursing.
Eligibility and Entry Requirements
You must be 18 years of age or older.
There are no formal qualification entry requirements that a learner must have completed before taking this qualification.
We highly recommend that you take your L3 CERAD course first to enable you to do your placement hours.
